Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins formed a tag team in NYWC in 2004, and later joined the WWE main roster in 2007 as The Major Brothers, before they started working with Edge. Their tag team run lasted until 2009, after which they went solo and only had sporadic reunions.

They’d reunite properly in 2019, when Ryder came to Hawkins’ aid while he was getting attacked by The Revival. At that point, Hawkins had a losing streak of over 200 matches, and the duo challenged The Revival for the belts at WrestleMania 35, and won the match miraculously. It was a pretty cool moment seeing Hawkins finally win a match, but they held the titles for only 64 days, before losing them back to The Revival.

The tag team of Billy Gunn and Road Dogg, known as ‘The New Age Outlaws’, was a very popular tag team during the WWE Attitude Era. The duo formed the tag team in 1997, and became a part of the faction D-Generation X in 1998.

They won a total of 6 tag team titles during their time in the company. This included a weird tag team title win during their return in 2014. They defeated the team of Cody Rhodes & Goldust at Royal Rumble to win the belts. The New Age Outlaws had no business winning the belts at that age, and it wasn’t a surprise that they lost the titles just 37 days later to The Usos.

The two men are quite old now and past their best years, but is a surprising fact that they still wrestle occasionally, and even win tag team titles. But, by 2009, their magic was pretty much gone. DX relied a lot on edgy stuff to make their act work, and thus it did not work in the PG Era. The duo won the Unified WWE tag team titles at TLC 2009, but the reign wasn’t very noteworthy, as they were nearing the end of their full-time careers. They lost the titles 57 days later to ShoMiz.
