Professional wrestling is a trade, where many things play a fundamental role in achieving success. While promos, storylines and character work keep fans hooked, in-ring performance is a key aspect as it all matters after the bell rings.
Some wrestlers are so immensely talented that they put on incredible matches on a regular basis. Whether on pay-per-view or weekly shows, people like Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, etc. They make great encounters. On the other hand, a handful of wrestlers haven’t had memorable matches in a long time, even though they are active and notable names in the industry.
10 Dustin Rhodes
Dustin Rhodes, the older brother of Cody Rhodes, is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling. He was Goldust in WWE, where he enjoyed a long career.
While Dustin is a tremendous fighter, at over fifty, he hasn’t been able to put up a great match in years. Plus, he hasn’t been in a significant fight in a while. His last big match was against Cody Rhodes in Double or nothing 2019. That match received five-star ratings from Dave Meltzer.
9 baron corbin
Baron Corbin is someone WWE has tried and tested different gimmicks with, but none of his gimmicks have lived up to expectations. The Lone Wolf, Constable Corbin, King Corbin, Happy Corbin, and Modern-Day Wrestling God are the evolutions of the Baron Corbin character over the years.
Baron Corbin is a decent fighter, but he struggles to deliver good singles matches. His last notable good singles match of his was at the King of the Ring final in 2019 when he defeated Chad Gable.
8 alexa happiness
Alexa Bliss is known for her excellent character work, especially as a heel. The five-time women’s champion is also smooth on the microphone. However, her skills in the ring are not at the level of other great talents in the company.
While Bliss does well in multi-woman matches, her singles match lacks the same intensity. The last match worth remembering of hers was against Ronda Rousey in hell in a cell 2018 when she was still ‘The Goddess’.
7 bray wyatt
Bray Wyatt is without a doubt one of the greatest storytellers of the modern age, which has made him quite the draw. The three-time world champion has given incredible fights, but the same can’t be said for his in-ring performances in recent years.
Since his return in 2022, Bray Wyatt has wrestled only one match. His last big game was without a doubt against Daniel Bryan in royal rumble 2020. The Fiend Bray Wyatt defeated Daniel Byan in a Strap match to retain the Universal Championship.
6 Goldberg
Goldberg may be one of the scariest characters in WWE history, but he’s also an average wrestler in his prime. Goldberg’s typical matches are short and explosive. Even in his prime, Goldberg was not someone who would deliver a 30-minute classic in the ring.
Now, with his age, his strength and performance have dropped significantly. Goldberg’s recent matches against the likes of Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, and The Fiend were forgettable. The last time he produced a decent match was against Brock Lesnar in WrestleMania 33.
5 dominik mysterio
Dominik Mysterio has only been fighting for two and a half years. However, he has already established himself as an impressive heel, especially with the character of Prison Dom. Carrying on the legacy of his legendary father Rey Mysterio, who is one of the greatest flyers in history, Dominik draws a comparison to his father in terms of of action in the ring.
However, Dominik has a long way to go to fill Rey’s shoes as an in-ring performer. Only his Street Fight match debut against Seth Rollins in summer festival 2020 would be considered a great match of his career.
4 the miz
The Miz is a fantastic entertainer with tremendous microphone skills, which is why he has a talk show called ‘The Miz TV’. The A-Lister also hosted WrestleMania 39. Besides his superior microphone skills, he is a good fighter.
But The Miz hasn’t been in a long and meaningful fight for a while. Therefore, he hasn’t had a big match in years. His last great singles match was probably the Falls Count Anywhere Match against Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 35.
3 Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler is arguably one of the best workers on the WWE roster with talent both on the mic and in the ring. But he hasn’t been well used, especially in recent years. Needless to say, his status has been reduced to a lower-half-undercard superstar.
It’s hard to remember when Ziggler has had a significant feud or even a match in WWE.
2 jinder mahal
Jinder Mahal has experienced a tumultuous journey in WWE. From being a 3MB racer to his dream career as WWE Champion, The Modern Day Maharaja has had his ups and downs.
Jinder hasn’t had a big memorable match since he lost the WWE Championship in 2017. Perhaps his last good singles match was against AJ Styles in clash of champions 2017.
1 Natalie
Wrestling is in the genes of Natalya, a member of the Hart family. The two-time women’s champion has been associated with WWE for a long time, but her recent run has been lackluster.
Natalya hasn’t been in a major fight for a long time, nor does she have a lot of TV time. The last time he had a good game was in summer festival 2019, where she faced Becky Lynch.
