Actor Darren Kent, known for his role in Game of Thrones, passes away at the age of 36

Renowned for his iconic portrayal in the epic series ‘Game of Thrones,’ actor Darren Kent has tragically passed away at the age of 36. The actor breathed his last on August 11, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the entertainment world. The news of his untimely demise was confirmed by his talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, through a heartfelt statement shared on Twitter this Tuesday.

In a poignant message, the agency conveyed, “With heavy hearts, we bear the sorrowful news of the peaceful passing of our beloved friend and client, Darren Kent, on Friday. Surrounded by his parents and closest friend, he embarked on his final journey. Our thoughts and unwavering support go out to his family during this trying period. Hailing from Essex, Darren Kent’s journey in the acting realm began after graduating from Italia Conti in 2007. His acting debut on the big screen occurred with the 2008 horror flick ‘Mirrors,’ marking the inception of an illustrious career. The highlight, undoubtedly, was his role in the Emmy-acclaimed series ‘Game of Thrones,’ where he portrayed a goatherd in the Slavers Bay region.

Most recently, Kent graced the screen as an animated cadaver in the 2023 production ‘Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,’ showcasing his versatility as an actor. His repertoire included other notable projects like ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ ‘Marshal’s Law,’ ‘Bloody Cuts,’ ‘The Frankenstein Chronicles,’ ‘Blood Drive,’ and ‘Birds Sorrow,’ among others.

Beyond his acting prowess, Kent’s talents extended to the realm of writing and directing. His 2021 creation, the short film titled “You Know Me,” showcased his multi-faceted skills and earned him the esteemed January Award, as reported by Variety.
