AEW Dynasty Match Predictions

In 2024, AEW’s PPV schedule is expanding once again, adding an event into the month of April for the first time ever. This comes in the form of AEW Dynasty, which will be taking place in St. Louis, Missouri on April 21 in the Chaifetz Arena.

10 AEW Shows With The Biggest Attendances, Ranked

AEW has grown steadily since its inception, being able to pull huge crowds of wrestling fans for their events!

Even though there is only a little over a month until the show, much of the card is already beginning to take shape, and it is easy to put two and two together on plans for the card and how it will develop. Although a lot could change and some matches and direction are uncertain, here are our ten best predictions for matches at Dynasty 2024.

Hook Will Defend The FTW Championship Against Chris Jericho

Jericho & Hook Have Become Aligned In AEW

  • Even though these are allies, they will come to blows
  • AEW is building Hook to be a big star
  • Jericho putting over Hook will be a huge rub

With Chris Jericho’s recent turmoil when it comes to the reaction given to him by fans, putting with the popular Hook could be something that people are not happy about. Either way, their recent show of respect and alliance against The Mogul Embassy will lead to an eventual match between the two.

Whether it be a heel turn from Jericho or simply a match all about respect and proving oneself, these two men will battle for the FTW Championship in an FTW Rules match. This would be one of the biggest matches for Hook to date on PPV, and scoring a win here would be great in his ascent up the card.

A Title Unification Match Between Bullet Club Gold & The Acclaimed

The ROH Six-Man & AEW Trios Titles Will Be Unified

  • It is only a matter of time before Bullet Club Gold go back to being full heels
  • There has been teased tension between the two sides
  • It is overkill to have two sets of trios belts

It has not been since AEW All In 2023 that the AEW World Trios Titles have been defended on the main card of a PPV, and this needs to change. There is an ongoing story that needs to be sped up, and the Bang Bang Scissor Gang is already showing signs of descent which could lead to a break up.

This supergroup is made up of two sets of trios champions, and a unification match may very well take place at AEW Dynasty.

The TBS Championship Will Be Up For Grabs In A Fatal Four Way

Julia Hart Has Multiple Challengers Coming For Her

  • The TBS Title scene has been busy in AEW
  • Julia Hart & Skye Blue took on Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander in tag team action
  • All four will clash in a four way

Even though the TBS Championship scene has seen some repetitive names in recent months, it looks as though Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Willow Nightingale, and Kris Statlander will all remain in the TBS Championship picture for now.

Nightingale & Statlander have not given up in their respective pursuits of the belt, and this will lead to yet another multi-woman match on PPV for the gold.

Either Christian Cage & Adam Copeland Will Take On Daniel Garcia

Garcia Will Go For The TNT Championship

  • Adam Copeland & Christian Cage will battle for the TNT Title
  • Garcia was cheated out of his match at Revolution
  • Garcia will continue his hunt for the title

On AEW Dynamite in Toronto on March 20, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will be battling in an “I Quit” match for the TNT Championship. Whoever walks out of this match will end this feud as the winner, and they will move on to take on Daniel Garcia.

Sting’s Wrestling Runs In WWE, AEW, TNA & WCW, Ranked

‘The Icon’ Sting worked for WCW, TNA, WWE and AEW throughout his legendary wrestling career. What was Sting’s best run overall?

Garcia was robbed of the title at Revolution, so he will either seek revenge of Christian Cage for a rematch, or be granted a fair one-on-one match against Adam Copeland instead. Although it would make sense for Copeland and Cage to be on PPV, it may be AEW’s plan to use this to further push Garcia.

Kazuchika Okada Will Already Target Gold Against Eddie Kingston

Kingston Will Put His Continental Crown On The Line

  • Okada debuted in AEW and turned heel
  • He attacked Eddie Kingston and joined the Young Bucks
  • Okada teased going for gold

Kazuchika Okada recently signed with AEW, but he quickly turned heel and joined The Elite, aligning with The Young Bucks. In doing so, he attacked Eddie Kingston from behind, setting up his first singles program in AEW.

Standing over Kingston, Okada made the signal that he wanted a belt around his waist. Eddie Kingston might’ve fended off Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson to reign as Continental Crown Champion, but a heel Okada full of momentum will be his biggest test, and this will likely take place at Dynasty.

New AEW World Tag Team Champions Will Be Crowned

The Tournament Finals Will Be Held At AEW Dynasty

  • Sting & Darby Allin vacated the AEW World Tag Team Titles
  • AEW will host a tournament to crowd new champions
  • There are several teams in the running

Following Sting’s retirement, the AEW World Tag Team Titles became vacant, with AEW revealing a tournament would take place. It would make the world of sense to crown brand new champions at AEW’s next PPV, although it is hard to forecast who will be in the finals.

The likes of Young Bucks, FTR, Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli, Top Flight, and Best Friends are among the teams who have made their intentions known. The likes of The Bucks, FTR, BCC, and Best Friends look to be the four frontrunners to battle in the final.

Mercedes Mone’s First AEW PPV Match Will Come Against Serena Deeb

Mone Is Expected To Debut Soon

  • AEW Big Business is expected to host Mone’s debut
  • Serena Deeb has teased a program with Mone
  • This will allow Mone to score a big win in AEW

Although there will be a temptation to throw titles on Mercedes Mone straight away when she arrives in AEW, it looks like the company will be patient initially. AEW is teasing Serena Deeb as her first opponent, with her calling herself “The Boss” on Collision, so it would make sense for this to be a PPV match.

AEW needs to grow their women’s division, and having Mone in non-title matches is a perfect way to do that.

Toni Storm And Deonna Purrazzo Will Run It Back For The AEW Women’s World Championship

This Story Will Continue

  • Storm cheated to defeat Purrazzo at Revolution
  • Purrazzo will want revenge
  • This story is too personal to end so soon

At Revolution 2024, Toni Storm and Deonna Purrazzo clashed in a very underwhelming match with a disappointing finish. They need to bounce back from this and truly show what they can do in the ring.

The finish left things open for Purrazzo to seek revenge and redemption, so this story is likely to continue on to the Dynasty PPV event.

Will Ospreay And Bryan Danielson Will Clash In A Dream Match

Ospreay Will Have A Big First Few Months In AEW

  • Danielson is in his last full-time run in AEW
  • Ospreay was confronted by Danielson in the ring
  • This is a huge dream match

With Bryan Danielson likely to take some more steps towards lessening his schedule in the ring, AEW needs to capitalize on dream matches and big feuds whilst he is still present. AEW wasted no time in starting the build to a match with Will Ospreay following his signature with the company.

Every Current Champion On AEW’s Roster, Ranked By Likability

While some of the best wrestlers on AEW’s roster hold a championship, it doesn’t mean that fans have to like them all!

The pair will clash at Dynasty in what could be up there with AEW’s greatest ever matches if things go well.

Swerve Strickland Vs. Samoa Joe Will Headline For The AEW World Championship

Strickand’s Chase Isn’t Over

  • Strickland has targeted Joe once again
  • Joe will overcome Wardlow and go up against Strickland
  • Without Adam Page in the picture, Strickland will have a clearer shot at the big one

At Revolution, Swerve Strickland was not beaten in a triple threat match with Samoa Joe and Adam Page, and he made sure to let Joe know that he was still coming for the AEW World Title, and this time it looks set to be a singles match.

At Dynasty, Strickland may very well finally get his crowning moment and become the AEW World Champion by defeating Samoa Joe.
