Seth Rollins Explains Beef With CM Punk, Why He Flipped Out Over Return To WWE

Seth Rollins took some time to talk to Sports Illustrated and explained his issues with CM Punk and why he was upset at Survivor Series.

That brought out Seth Rollins. He slowly made his way to the ring and had a very serious look on his face. The two men stood face-to-face and just stared as the crowd chanted, “Holy sh–!” Mixed reactions followed as some sang Rollins’t theme song and others chanted Punk’s name. The Rollins song seemed to have a louder response. Rollins grabbed the mic and said, “Welcome to Monday Night Rollins.” He then took aim at Punk and noted, “I hope you know how incredibly fortunate you are to even be standing in this ring right now. But, could you just do me just one one little favor, just one thing… Please don’t you dare call this place your home.”

He went on to tell Punk that he left this place 10 years ago not only did he abandon it:

“…but you actively tried to tear it down. You spent 10 years slandering me and slandering everything backstage. This not your home, this is my home!”

Rollins Said He Was Going to Do Everything In His Power to Protect His Home

He called everybody in the back his family and he would do everything in his power to protect it from people like Punk. He didn’t want there to be any confusion so he said it plainly, “I hate you.” He added, “But, if you’re going to be a part of WWE again, then I want you on Monday Night Raw. The truth always comes out pal.” He explained that everyone knows it’s Punk’s last chance and he’ll either expose himself or self destruct and Rollins will be the first person to slam the door shut on his legacy. Rollins noted, “Or, if by some miracle, he has changed and he’s got any gas left in the tank, “amybe one day you’ll be lucky enough to stand across the ring from me in a World Heavyweight Championship match and then I will expose you for the fraud that you are. I will show you there are levels to this and I will wrestle circles around you and show you in real time when it means to be the best in the world.”

Punk then said he was going to enter the Royal Rumble and when he wins, it might be Rollins he’s coming after. Punk then walked away.
