Trevor Noah fans in Bengaluru, India, were left disheartened when the renowned comedian announced the cancellation of his scheduled shows in the city due to unforeseen technical issues. The unexpected news came just hours before the highly-anticipated performances were set to take place at the Manpho Convention Centre on September 27 and 28.
Taking to his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), Trevor Noah expressed his sincere apologies to his Indian fans. In a tweet, he wrote, “Dear Bengaluru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues we’ve been forced to cancel both shows.”
The comedian went on to explain the nature of the technical challenges, saying, “We tried everything but because the audience can’t hear the comedians on stage there’s literally no way to do a show. We’ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund, and again I’m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment; this has never happened to us before. ”
Fans of Trevor Noah in Bengaluru took to social media to express their disappointment and humorously commented on the situation. One fan humorously remarked, “Trevor has been Bangalored, not in a nice way though! The joke is on Silicon City. :-(” Another empathized with those who faced traffic challenges to attend the event, stating, “A minute of silence for those who braved the traffic of Bengaluru to get to this.” A second fan found a silver lining, quipping, “So those who missed the show because of traffic will get a refund because of cancellation. Blessing in disguise.”
The cancellation of Trevor Noah’s shows in Bengaluru left fans both disappointed and understanding of the unforeseen technical issues that led to the unfortunate outcome.
