Conor McGregor and WWE tease the fighter’s participation in WrestleMania 39

Could Conor McGregor be on his way to WWE and make an appearance at WrestleMania 39? Both WWE and the MMA fighter certainly joked as much.

Could Conor McGregor make an appearance at this year’s WrestleMania? That hasn’t been confirmed, but the tease is certainly on as Ariel Helwani posted on social media that McGregor might be heading to WrestleMania and WWE later retweeted the post mocking the same.

Helwani’s tweet included the caption: “Next stop…’Mania?” which led to speculation that McGregor might have some involvement in the Showcase of the Immortals taking place in a couple of weeks at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on April 1-2. WWE really got people talking when they retweeted the photo and added the eye emoji in response:

McGregor remains a huge draw, but it’s unclear how long in the world of MMA, where he’s lost three of his last four fights and hasn’t fought since UFC 264 in July 2021. As he tries to get back into the UFC, it’s unclear how long he will last. his MMA career. In the meantime, WWE has been eager to get him involved and successfully cross over like Ronda Rousey has. At 34 and now much heavier than he was in his prime, the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion could be a huge draw for WWE.

Is McGregor the best to go to WWE?

McGregor already has some enemies in WWE. Having called out WWE on a few occasions, Roman Reigns has already taken issue with McGregor’s disrespect on social media and Brock Lesnar has told McGregor to come forward “talk to my face.” The stories are already integrated and ready to go, assuming McGregor wants this.

Would WrestleMania be the first place to set the stage for his arrival? It’s where a lot of the big developments happen and where Rousey was first brought onto the WWE stage and showcased before the WWE Universe.
