Drug dealer arrested for the tragic death of Robert De Niro’s grandson

Recently, Robert De Niro’s grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodríguez, tragically passed away from drug-related causes. This shocking incident prompted an investigation, and in a major update, a drug dealer named Sofia Haley Marks has been arrested, the New York Post reported.

According to the report, Sofia was taken into custody in an undercover operation conducted by the NYPD, the Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security. She has been charged with drug distribution.

On July 2, Robert De Niro’s grandson was discovered dead in his New York City apartment. His absence was noticed by a friend who hadn’t heard from him in several days and decided to go check on him. It was during this visit that his lifeless body was found, with drugs nearby.

Initially, the cause of death was unknown. However, a few days later, Leandro’s mother took to her Instagram account and revealed that the fentanyl pills were responsible for the tragic death of her son. She wrote: “Someone sold it [Leandro] pills laced with fentanyl that they knew were laced and still sold them.” In the heartfelt message from him, he added: “So to all these people who keep buying and selling this s**t, my son is gone forever.” His name is Drena.

The 19-year-old was an aspiring actor who made his Hollywood breakthrough in the 2018 film “A Star Is Born,” directed by Bradley Cooper. Leandro also had a role in the 2018 drama “Cabaret Maxime.”
