Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated “Deadpool 3” has finally concluded its filming journey, overcoming delays caused by the SAG-AFTRA strike. Star Ryan Reynolds took to his Instagram account on Wednesday to share the news, expressing gratitude to the dedicated cast and crew who navigated challenges such as adverse weather conditions, strikes, and even a playful mention of co-star Hugh Jackman.
In the caption of a photo featuring the iconic superhero’s spandex costume, Reynolds wrote, “The suit hides the blood. Also sweat… But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect.”
Reynolds added a personal touch, acknowledging the rare opportunity to make a movie with his closest pals. He concluded the caption with a teaser for fans, saying, “See ya July 26th.”
Hugh Jackman, who plays a significant role in the film, also took to his Instagram handle to share a behind-the-scenes Reel. He expressed his love for the entire filmmaking process, including the challenges of training and a strict diet. Jackman extended his gratitude to the cast and crew, praising their dedication. He humorously remarked, “July 26th can’t come soon enough. Time to shave.”
Due to the aftermath of the SAG-AFTRA strikes, “Deadpool 3” will now hit US theaters on July 26, a shift from its original release date of May 3. Fans can anticipate an exciting and possibly emotional journey as the beloved superhero franchise takes its next cinematic leap.
