Billionaire businesswoman, media personality, and socialite Kim Kardashian will don the executive producer hat and feature in a three-part BBC documentary series, titled Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar on late Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor’s transformative impact on cinema; she was one of the top stars in Hollywood of 1950s. BBC Arts has commissioned production firm Passion Pictures, the Academy Award-winning production firm for the documentary.
The forthcoming docuseries promises to offer a trailblazing understanding of iconic actress and activist Elizabeth Taylor. The documentary will delve into the life of the two-time Academy Award-winning actress, who transformed not just Hollywood but fame itself, as she went from child star to the highest-paid actress in the world. Kim Kardashian was the last person to interview Elizabeth Taylor before her death in 2011 at the age of 79; she expressed immense admiration for the late legendary rebel superstar and is elated to be involved in the production of the documentary.
The decision to involve Kim Kardashian in this upcoming documentary sparked a lot of controversy, many believe that Kardashian’s involvement may hamper and not do justice to the longstanding legacy of such an iconic figure in Hollywood history. The documentary will feature interviews with Dr Anthony Fauci, who worked closely with the star in her fight against AIDS.
