MF Lightweight Title: Deen The Great vs. Walid Sharks 2
In the main event of Misfits Boxing 003, Deen The Great and Walid Sharks put on a war. Arguably still the greatest fight in promotional history, the two traded massive blows. All in all, there were multiple knockdowns in their first fight, with Deen The Great winning by third-round knockout. In the process, he became the first Misfits lightweight champion.
Nearly a year later, they will go head-to-head on the undercard of KSI vs. Tommy Fury. They’ve both notched wins since then, but one has to figure that Walid Sharks will even up the series in October. In their first fight, he was dominating until the sudden finish in the third round. If he can clean things up and avoid taking big damage, one has to figure he’ll even things up at 1-1. Given how their first fight went, fans can expect a finish here.
Bridgerweight: Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis Or Mike Perry
Over two years on from Logan Paul’s exhibition boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, he will return. In October, he will face Dillon Danis, a former Bellator MMA fighter holding a 2-0 record. However, both those wins came by way of submission, as he’s far more versed on the ground than on the feet.
The build of this fight has seen Danis regularly attack Paul’s fiancee Nina Agdal, leading to the model suing him. While he might feel that he’s having some good insults in the build to the bout, fight night likely won’t be pretty. Paul is much bigger, the more versed boxer of the two, and has a lot of motivation leading into this one. Expect ‘The Maverick’ to win by an early knockout.
There is now a new wrinkle to the story. Apparently, MMA fighter Mike Perry has now said that he will be replacing Danis in the fight against Paul. Perry has most recently been competiting in Bare Knuckle Boxing where he holds a 3-0. As with anything involving Dillon Danis it is difficult to say if this change of opponent is legitimate, but if it is it certainly makes for a much tougher fight for Logan Paul.
The betting odds for the originally planned Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis is -580 for Paul and +450 for Danis.
Cruiserweight: KSI (+280) vs. Tommy Fury (-400)
Tommy Fury and KSI went face-to-face after the latter’s no-contest with Joe Fournier in May. ‘The Nightmare’ has long stated that he wanted to face ‘TNT’ because he wanted to do what Jake Paul couldn’t. In February, Fury famously defeated KSI’s longtime rival by a split decision in Saudi Arabia.
Unfortunately for the YouTuber, he’s also badly outgunned going into this matchup. While KSI arguably has solid power and a gas tank, that won’t matter against a boxer as capable as Tommy Fury. Expect the former Love Island star to dominate on fight night, and likely get a finish. If he can get through Jake Paul, who is the far more dangerous YouTube boxer, he’ll be able to get through KSI.
