Return Date Revealed As AJ Styles Set to Appear On WWE SmackDown

  • AJ Styles is set to make his return to WWE SmackDown on November 10, indicating plans for him to be a regular presence on TV.
  • There are hints of a potential rivalry between Styles and Universal Champion Roman Reigns upon his return.
  • Fans are eagerly anticipating Styles’ return and hope he finds the right storyline to reclaim his spot at the top of the game.

Former WWE Champion AJ Styles, absent from WWE programming since September due to an injury angle with The Bloodline, is gearing up for a return. According to PWInsider Elite, Styles is slated to make his comeback on the November 10 episode of “WWE SmackDown” in Columbus, Ohio, indicating plans for his regular presence on TV. It should be a phenomenal show. Styles is currently “penciled in” to make his return and it appears there will be some sort of plans to put him in a storyline where he’ll be a regular from that point forward.

In his last appearance, Styles fell victim to Finn Balor in a singles match before being viciously attacked by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso of The Bloodline. This incident, combined with Styles’ prior feuds involving The Bloodline, hints at a potential rivalry with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns upon his return. However, Reigns first faces LA Knight at Crown Jewel, with Knight aiming to end Reigns’ historic three-year title reign. There’s also talk that Roman Reigns may not be on television much after Crown Jewel and may not actually wrestle again in 2023.

The reasons behind Styles’ hiatus remain unclear. There have been no reports of Styles suffering any injuries, suggesting his absence was a strategic decision by the company. Perhaps, with WWE opting to provide talents with more time off recently, Styles break is similar to one recently given to Bianca Belair. Luke Gallows of the O.C. is also currently out with an injury, which could have played a role in the timing of Styles’ disappearance.

Notably, AJ Styles has faced inconsistency on television since his December 2022 injury. Lacking compelling storylines, fans hope he finds the right narrative to reclaim his spot at the top of the game.

It Will Be Good To Have Styles Back

Definitely one of the top talents on either brand, it will be good to have AJ Styles back in the fold and fans are eagerly anticipating his return. If John Cena is still around, it will be intriguing to see if these two team up again, or Styles is interested in match. There can be no real long-term plans for Cena, but Styles still calls his last match with Cena one of the best of his career.

It’s not guaranteed as to what might unfold as the Phenomenal One steps back into the WWE spotligh in November, but it will be met with a nice pop from the WWE Universe.
