The 13 Tallest Wrestlers Currently In AEW

AEW prides itself on being “the alternative” for wrestling fans, and they have done a great job at being a positive aspect of the wrestling world. They have strong ties to the independent scene, and the wrestlers they bring in are usually an average height and build for a wrestler. The old stereotype of the wrestler was that they were very tall and muscular, but that is not always the case. Most of the AEW roster is under 6ft tall, leaving the men above that height to be a unique minority of the company. Given that most of the men are not as large as they would expect, it really shines the spotlight on the taller competitors in the company.

UPDATE: 2023/11/16 00:48 EST BY SHAWN S. LEALOS

AEW has bigger wrestlers than ever, with names like Big Bill winning the tag team titles and some of the top names standing well over six feet in height. While the company started with smaller indie guys, many of whom people like Jim Cornette criticized as looking like children, the bigger stars coming in have not diminished these core AEW wrestlers. Instead, they work hard to make everyone look good and when a smaller star like Darby Allin puts on an amazing show against a bigger wrestler, it makes everyone look like bigger stars in the end.

It might seem hard to believe since he usually faces smaller wrestlers, but Wardlow is only 6′ 3″, smaller than several other AEW wrestlers. However, MJF brought in some heels and Wardow ended up on his own. Wardlow won the TNT title multiple times and Tony Kahn booked plenty of smaller guys to chase the TNT title, so Wardlow still looks like a monster. Even when he fights monsters, he still looks unstoppable, as he did when he power-bombed Big Bill.
