At 56-years-old Jeff Jarrett is still going strong, not only working behind the scenes in AEW, but actively wrestling as well. His legendary career has taken him everywhere, from WWE, to WCW, to TNA. Along the way he’s experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows. He also has one of the most unbelievable friendships. Jeff Jarrett is friends with one of the most famous musicians in the world, Taylor Swift. They even grew so close that Taylor put one of Jarrett’s young daughters in one of her most popular music videos.


In 2024, Taylor Swift is one of the biggest and most popular artists in the world. She has sold countless albums over her career. She has embarked on one of the most finacially successful tours of all time in the Eras Tour. Swift’s fame only continues to grow and grow. However, many fans of hers and of professional wrestling are not aware that she knows Jeff Jarett. When Jarett lived in Nashville to start up TNA, he was neighbors with the pop star. Jeff Jarrett’s father, Jerry Jarrett, was a legend in the wrestling business. Jeff got his start in wrestling in the mid 80s working as a referee for his father’s CWA. He gained national prominence wrestling as Double J in WWE starting in 1993. He became an Intercontinental Champion, but unhappy with his contract and creative direction, Jarrett left WWE in 1996. He had a short stint in WCW before coming back to WWE for a successful two-year stint starting in 1997. In 1999, he jumped ship to WCW and became a world champion.

She had a friend in the family and we became family friends. She’s in the community. When ‘Mine’ came out, she came over to the house and Jeremy Borash, we were having a creative meeting downstairs. Taylor would come over and get the girls and take them back to her house and they’d bake cookies and all kind of stuff. One day, Taylor brought over Joe Jonas… Not only is she uber-creative as an artist, she thinks like a businesswoman. Those two skillsets combined, you rarely see. She deserves all the success she has.”

“The ‘Mine’ video is so creative and my daughter Jaclyn looked like a little Taylor. We were out on the lake, Taylor pulled up and, as bold as she always is, was just like, ‘I want Jaclyn in the video.’ ‘Okay.’ We flew up to Maine where they shot the video, had to turn over your cell phone on set and all that stuff. It was a good experience for the kids.”

Taylor Swift’s 2010 music video for “Mine” currently has a whopping 318 million views on YouTube. It starts with Jaclyn Jarrett as a young Taylor shown watching her parents argue. In a behind the scenes interview for “Mine,” Swift was shown in Nashville hosting a party with the families cast in the video, where they were given a first look at the final product. Jaclyn sat right next to Taylor. Swift talked about casting Jeff Jarrett’s daughter.

“I chose Jaclyn to be mini me because I’ve known her for a long time and I always used to joke around with her and say, ‘You look just like I did when I was younger, and one of these days I’m gonna call you up, but I’m gonna have you play a younger version of me in a music video.’ Now it actually happened.”

The song, “Mine”, has gone on to become one of Swift’s biggest hits in her discography. Swift is currently one of the most financially successful musicians in the world today. She has released 10 projects, along with four re-recorded projects. Her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, will be released on April 19, 2024.
