Highlights

  • Jake Paul will be facing professional boxer Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland in an 8-round cruiserweight fight on March 2.
  • Amanda Serrano, the first undisputed world boxing champion in Puerto Rico, will also be fighting on the same card.
  • Jake Paul has pledged to donate his entire fight purse to his nonprofit organization, Boxing Bullies, to renovate youth boxing gyms in Puerto Rico.

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has officially disclosed that Jake Paul (8-1, 5 KOs) is set to take on professional boxer Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland (17-2, 6 KOs) on Saturday, March 2, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan.

Scheduled as an 8-round cruiserweight fight, Paul vs. Bourland will serve as the co-main event alongside the clash between Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (46-2-1, 30 KOs) and Nina Meinke (18-3, 4 KOs).

This marks Amanda Serrano’s inaugural match in Puerto Rico since achieving the distinction of being the island’s first undisputed world boxing champion, irrespective of gender.

Bringing two decades of professional experience and Golden Gloves success in the amatuers, Bourland has more victories and knockouts than any of Paul’s previous adversaries.

The event, featuring Serrano vs. Meinke and Paul vs. Bourland, will be included in the DAZN subscription package without additional PPV.

Notably, Jake Paul has pledged to donate his entire fight purse to his nonprofit organization, Boxing Bullies, to renovate youth boxing gyms across Puerto Rico.

“The goal is simple, build the skillset to become world champion. Next up is a guy who has twice as many professional fights under his belt than I do. Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland. And just like the animal in his bone chilling nickname… he is also endangered😂😅,” he wrote, continuing:

On Saturday, March 2 as co-main to the Puerto Rican GOAT, Amanda Serrano, I’m fighting for experience, and to show my love to the island I call home I’ll be donating my entire fight purse to my nonprofit Boxing Bullies to help renovate gyms across 🇵🇷 .

Bourland will be the third pro boxer Paul has faced. In December, he knocked out Andre August in the first round with a devastating uppercut.

The YouTube Star Is A Great Promoter

Paul serving as the co-main event for Serrano in her hometown is another bold move as her promoter.

Serrano decided to relinquish her WBC title as a result of her insistence on having identical championship distance and round times as men’s boxing, a request not accommodated by the organization.

The upcoming card will showcase the inaugural boxing match of 17-year-old Javon “Wanna” Walton, an actor with a genuine boxing upbringing, making him a promising prospect.
