Dylan Minnette and his girlfriend, musician Lydia Night, have sadly split after being together for four years. Breakup rumors of him were circulating the internet after Dylan, whose Netflix series 13 Reasons Why ended in 2020, deleted his Instagram account, which previously featured photos of him and Lydia.
However, days after the speculation, Lydia recently took to social media to share a message confirming that she and the actor had split. Taking to Instagram Stories, the Regrettes musician began his text post: “I’ve seen a lot of speculation and I’d rather clarify: Dylan and I have decided to end our romantic relationship.”
Lydia added in the post: “We love and care so much and that won’t change as we enter a new phase in our lives. please respect our privacy during this time.” Unlike Dylan, Lydia seemed to keep her account and still had several photos of her and Dylan as a couple. Breakup rumors have swirled around the two since the summer of 2022, when they began disappearing from each other’s posts and shared more reserved photos, though they were still seen together until the fall.
Dylan Minnette and Lydia Night were first linked in late 2018. Although Dylan is primarily known for his acting work, he and Lydia shared a passion for music, and he was a member of the rock trio The Wallows. However, on the work front, Dylan’s acting career has remained busy in recent years.
After a string of minor roles, he broke out in 2016 with a leading role in the critically acclaimed horror film Don’t Breathe, before joining 13 Reasons Why in a leading role the following year. The dark teen drama followed Dylan’s character and his high school friends as they try to understand the suicide of classmate Hannah (Katherine Langford), who he had a crush on.
Most recently, Dylan appeared in the 2022 sequel to Scream, as well as Hulu’s critically acclaimed series The Dropout, starring Amanda Seyfried as convicted con artist and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.
