14/14 John Cena vs. Batista (Extreme Rules 2010)

John Cena defended the WWE Championship against Batista in a Last Man Standing match in the main event of Extreme Rules 2010. The Animal was looking to regain the WWE Championship on the first try, and it was another solid matchup between the pair.

Batista was the aggressor and he inflicted a lot of punishment on Cena. Both Batista and Cena connected with their respective finishers but refused to stay down. It was a war of attrition, and Cena retained the WWE Championship after cleverly tying Batista’s feet to the ring post with duct tape.

Asuka and Sasha Banks squared off for the Raw Women’s Championship on the blockbuster COVID-19 edition of the Horror Show on Extreme Rules in 2020. They knocked it out of the park in arguably the best match of the night with Sasha aiming to become a double champion as she was one half of the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Not surprisingly, this was a competitive wrestling match with both women giving it their all. The Empress of Tomorrow blinded the referee with green mist. Bayley got involved in her proceedings by taking matters into her own hands by donning the referee’s shirt and awarding The Boss the Raw Women’s Championship.

This was a ladder match where Christian and Alberto Del Rio were willing to do anything to get the vacant world heavyweight title.

This match was simply spectacular. Christian and Alberto Del Rio really put their bodies on the line in this one, they both took horrible hits and were in a lot of pain throughout the match. In the end, Christian prevailed and became world heavyweight champion for the first time in his career.

A extreme rules 2009, Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio collided in a No Holds Barred Match for the Intercontinental Title. Jericho is a technical wrestler and Rey Mysterio is a wrestler, but on this occasion, they both looked almost like fighters, delivering a very intense and exciting match.

With perfect pacing, amazing locations, and brilliant storytelling, it was an excellent combination. After 14 minutes, Chris Jericho managed to defeat Rey Mysterio and became Intercontinental Champion.

Finn Balor and Edge collided in an “I Quit” match and the former world champions told a great story. The WWE Hall of Famer was in his element in this type of match, as he is very good at using weapons and inflicting pain on his opponents.

Balor’s Judgment Day was involved in the proceedings as were Rey Mysterio and Edge’s wife, Beth Phoenix. The Glamazon found himself in a vulnerable position with Rhea Ripley in prime position to con-chair-to but Edge spoke the words “I Quit” with Balor victorious.

After the bad prank on WrestleMania 28 when Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan in just 18 seconds, they met again. This time, Sheamus defended the World Heavyweight Title in a Two Out of Three Falls Match.

This was a great match, Daniel Bryan and Sheamus did a great job, focusing on even the smallest details. The way Bryan attacked Sheamus’s shoulder mercilessly is unbelievable and obviously Sheamus’s sale is perfect. Bryan seemed to be in control, but he couldn’t take his chances and Sheamus ended up taking the win in epic fashion.

7/14 The shield vs. Evolution (Extreme Rules 2014)

This was one of The Shield’s best matches, and that’s saying something considering this was one of the best stables in WWE history.

Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose took on Batista, Randy Orton and Triple H in a mind-blowing match. This match had several incredible points, like Seth Rollins diving from the balcony to clear the way for Roman Reigns, who pinned Batista for the win after hitting a powerful spear.

6/14 Jeff Hardy vs. Edge (Extreme Rules 2009)

The main event of Extreme Rules 2009 featured Edge defending the world heavyweight title against Jeff Hardy. This was one of the best ladder matches in WWE history, and it’s no wonder, as Edge and Jeff Hardy are synonymous with this stipulation.

Obviously, the match had several fantastic locations, high-flying moves, and generally fabulous maneuvers. It was dramatic from start to finish. In the end, Hardy beat Edge to win gold, but the joy didn’t last as CM Punk cashed in his Money In The Bank contract and became World Heavyweight Champion.

Extreme Rules 2017 was a disappointing pay-per-view, but at least the main event was absolutely great. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe wrestled in an Extreme Rules match for a shot at the Universal Title.

The match went on at a leisurely pace at first, but as the minutes passed the match became more intense and exciting, and the final stretch kept the fans on the edge of their seats. Every man involved did his part, especially Reigns and Balor, who were incredible. After almost half an hour of combat, Samoa Joe was the one who prevailed.

In the main event of Extreme Rules In 2016, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles collided in an Extreme Rules match for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

It was an extremely intense and dramatic match, with some innovative points and several very exciting near misses. The fans were involved from start to finish and that was a key aspect. The storytelling was amazing and overall Reigns and Styles put on great performances. The ending was memorable, AJ Styles performed the Phenomenal Forearm on him but The Big Dog countered it with a spear to destroy Styles and retain the title.

3/14 The fighting brutes vs. Empire (Extreme Rules 2022)

There were always guaranteed fireworks when the Brawling Brutes comprised of Sheamus, Ridge Holland and Butch and Imperium Intercontinental Champion Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci hit a home run in the opening act of Extreme Rules 2022. They collided at a Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook match.

The intensity was there for all to witness with neither team holding back. Kaiser hit the Celtic Warrior with a shillelagh. However, Sheamus regrouped and put Gunther on the broadcast table with the Celtic Cross. Vinci was helpless as Holland and Butch held him up with Sheamus putting him out of his misery with a Brogue Kick.

2/14 The Miz vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (Extreme Rules 2016)

Also in extreme rules 2016, The Miz defended the Intercontinental Title in a Fatal Four Way Match against Cesaro, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. This was one of the best intercontinental title matches in WWE history, hands down.

Flawless performances, amazing locations, stunning sequences, incredible near misses, this match had it all. Maybe The Miz was a coward, but he was smart and opportunistic, and he managed to win the match and retain the title.

extreme rules 2012 It was a fantastic PPV, with several outstanding fights, but without a doubt this was the best. John Cena and Brock Lesnar put on a memorable show. It was a crazy, brutal and extreme match.

Cena was already bleeding shortly after the bell, and The Champ just couldn’t handle The Beast Incarnate, who looked like a real boss throughout the match. However, somehow Cena managed to turn things around and was victorious. They told the story perfectly and the match turned out to be a classic.
