Dwayne The Rock Johnson recently surprised fans during a Warner Bros. special screening of the upcoming DC animated movie League of Super-Pets in Los Angeles. Fans who attended a special screening were in for a big surprise when Dwayne Johnson made an appearance. The Black Adam actor dressed in a dog suit for his character Krypto the Super-Dog, Superman’s beloved pet, played by John Krasinski, in the upcoming film.
The Rock also met up with some fans and some real pets at the Los Angeles event ahead of the DC League of Super-Pets launch on Friday, July 29. Johnson appeared in a full-scale replica costume of his Krypto the Super character. -Disguise as a dog, before removing its head and revealing itself. Dwayne introduced the film to Los Angeles audiences, who had the opportunity to see the film days before its official release.
Johnson gave his wonderful voice to Krypto the Super-Dog, who shares the same incredible powers as his owner Superman. Together they fight crime in Metropolis, but are tested like never before when Superman is kidnapped and Krypto has to save him despite losing his own powers. Krypto assembles a team of shelter animals who have been given superpowers to help rescue Superman and the rest of the Justice League.
Johnson is led by an all-star voice cast including Kevin Hart, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Marc Maron, Kate McKinnon, Keanu Reeves, Dascha Polanco, Ben Schwartz, Jemaine Clement, Daveed Diggs, Jameela Jami, Olivia Wilde . and Thomas Middleditch. Directed by Jared Stern and Sam Levine, the animated superhero adventure will take on the new Vengeance movie in theaters plus the relaunch of A24’s Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Johnson will return to the DC empire albeit in live-action form, playing the title character in Black Adam, which opens in theaters on October 21. The wrestler-turned-actor also has Amazon Studios’ action thriller Red One in pre-production, starring opposite Chris Evans. The actor also has a number of projects in various stages of development, including an adaptation of Doc Savage and a remake of Big Trouble in Little China.
