Olivia Rodrigo Teases New Music

Olivia Rodrigo teases that she will be releasing new music in 2023 after the huge success of her debut album Sour, which earned her three Grammy Awards. The singer confirmed the exciting news in a fan thank you video following the launch of Spotify Wrapped. The singer recently has more than 35,000 monthly listeners on the music streaming platform, Spotify.

After the achievement, Olivia said, “I just wanted to say thank you so much for listening to my music this year.” She then quipped: “I really, really couldn’t be more grateful and I’m so excited for next year, and all the new stuff and new music that 2023 will bring.” Despite its release in 2021, Sour becomes the third most streamed album globally.

Sour was also the fifth most played album in the United States. Additionally, the star of The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series received numerous accolades last year, including three Grammy Awards in seven total nominations. Although Olivia didn’t release any new music, fans did get some new content. Olivia released a documentary titled Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home on March 2, where she drove from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles and discussed the making of Sour.

The driver’s license singer was on tour from April to July of this year starting in Portland, Oregon and ending in London, England. He reached a total of 10 countries, including but not limited to Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Olivia discussed the new album in an interview with Billboard that came out in February.

During the interview, Rodrigo shared, “I have a title for my next album and some songs.” Olivia revealed at the time: “It’s really exciting to think about the next world that’s coming up for me. I love writing songs. I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself. [I want to] just explore and have fun right now.”
