Taylor Swift leads the winners

Taylor Swift topped the list of winners at the 2022 MTV EMAs. The singer has won four awards at the MTV EMAs. The singer took home the awards for best video and best long-form video for her 10-minute version of All Too Well (Taylor’s Version), beating out top global stars.

His video for the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert at Wembley Stadium, London, was also nominated for Best Long Form Video. Furthermore, Taylor was named the winner of the Best Artist category and the Best Pop award, while she was also nominated in the Biggest Fans section, which was won by BTS.

Accepting the top award, Taylor said, “It’s so good to be back at the EMAs. You all look so beautiful tonight.” The singer-songwriter continued, “I’ve been writing and directing my music video for a long time, but this was the first short film I did and I felt like I learned a lot about myself about how making a film can be a natural extension of my storytelling is like writing songs.’

All Too Well went viral this year after fans speculated that the song was based on Taylor’s breakup with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The song also garnered the prestigious Video of the Year award at the MTV Video Music Awards. This year’s ceremony is being hosted by famed singer-songwriter Rita Ora and Oscar-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi and marks the sixth time the awards show has been held in Germany.

It’s the first time the pair have worked together after keeping their partnership mostly out of the spotlight since they first sparked relationship rumors last year after appearing on red carpets together. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj was the winner of the Best Song award for her for her song Super Freaky Girl. Nicki was also named the winner of the Best Hip Hop category.

The winner of the Best New award was boy band Seventeen, while Lisa took home the award for Best K-Pop Gong. Anitta was named winner of the Best Latin award. David Guetta triumphed in the Best Electronic category. Sam Smith and Kim Petras won in the Video For Good category for promoting their song Unholy. BLACKPINK X PUBG won Best Metaverse Performance for their in-game concert experience, while former One Direction singer Harry Styles won Best Live Concert.
