The Mandalorian returns for the third season! The Star Wars spinoff series will return to Disney+ on March 1, 2023, three years after the second season. The third season of the critically acclaimed Star Wars spin-off will see Pedro Pascal’s Command traveling to his home planet of Mandalore. Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito and Katee Sackhoff return to the series that added Christopher Lloyd for its highly anticipated third season.
The second season of the series launched in 2020, though Mando and Grogu made a lengthy appearance in The Book of Boba Fett series that came out earlier this year. Nick Nolte, Ming-Na Wen, Taika Waititi, and Bill Burr have appeared on the series in the past along with other big names. The next season of the Star Wars series will follow “The fate of the Darksaber weapon and whether Grogu will return to Din after being trained by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).”
Through its first two seasons, The Mandalorian has been loved by fans and critics alike. The Mandalorian has also received a number of accolades, taking home 14 Emmy Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Grammy nomination. The highly anticipated series is one of many Star Wars spinoff shows that Disney+ has released in recent years. However, during D23 Expo, Sedaris, who plays fan favorite Peli Motto, revealed that she doesn’t know what she’s saying when she’s on set, joking that “everyone [she’s] thinking about are the lines.
Meanwhile, Sackoff, who returns as Bo-Katan Kryze after playing the character in the animated series, says he never knew how long this journey would last. “I never dreamed that she would become such an important part of my life and her lives,” she shared, adding that she is very excited for the new season. “She’s crazy. That’s legitimately all I can say.”
