Zendaya Reacts To Critics’ Choice Award For Her Role In Euphoria

After achieving a milestone at the Golden Globes and Emmy Awards, Zendaya moves on to the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards. Zendaya starred as 17-year-old Rue on HBO’s hit series Euphoria. And the series has helped the actress make history at many award ceremonies.

Most recently, Zendaya won a Critics’ Choice Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Euphoria. Although the actress was unable to attend the ceremony in person due to work commitments, she took the time to show her gratitude to the Critics’ Choice Association for the award.

Zendaya recently took to her Instagram Stories to thank the Critics’ Choice Association for the award. The actress shared a snapshot of herself on a bike and a close-up of her face during an episode of the show. Along with a black and white photo of herself posing on a bike with a suitcase in hand, Zendaya shared the thank you note on her Instagram stories.

The Spider-Man actress wrote: “Woke up to amazing news…thank you so much @criticschoice for this honor. I can’t stop smiling and I can’t express how grateful I am.” Meanwhile, the second photo of her shows a close up of her face as she appeared to be busy talking on the phone. The second photo was a still photo from the Euphoria program.

Not long ago, she won her first Golden Globe for Best TV Actress on the HBO series, but she also skipped that ceremony due to previous work commitments. The two-time Emmy Award-winning actress was not present, so host Elle Fanning was seen accepting the award on her behalf. The series, which first premiered her debut season in 2019, follows the life of the young teenager as she battles drug addiction amid high school drama with her classmates.

For her performance in Euphoria, Zendaya not only won a Critics’ Choice Award last year, but also a Golden Globe and an Emmy. Recently, the actress has been busy filming Dune: part two. Meanwhile, the third season of Euphoria is reportedly about to start production after the second season premiered around this time last year.
